It’s hard to believe how fast this summer has gone, and that we will be starting our first day of school in just a couple of weeks. We wanted to be sure to give you some important information.
First, our online calendar is currently unavailable. A hacker used a security breach in the calendar to hack our website, and it has taken quite a while to get the site cleaned up from that mess. The people who run the site apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, and we encourage you to download the 2018-2019 School Calendar in PDF form found on the “Parent Resources” page (as well as on the “Misc. Forms” page), especially with the first day of school coming so soon.
Also, because of being hacked, our site was just able to be updated with the new supply lists for the upcoming school year. The good news is if you have already downloaded last year’s supply lists, there were only two classes that had any additions, and no classes that had any deletions from their lists. For the 3rd-4th grade class, we just need you to add 1 pair of earbuds/headphones to your supplies because of all the computer labs the class works on. For the 5th-6th grade class, the only addition is a NLT version of the Bible. No other changes have been made on the supply lists. If you haven’t already downloaded your supply list, it is the perfect time to do so. These can also be found on the “Parent Resources” page and “Misc. Forms” page on our site.
With our online calendar down, here are some important upcoming dates:
August 12—DTD Workbee (9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) We really need your help to get our school ready for the new year!
August 16—Registration Day (3 p.m. to 7 p.m.) For anyone who needs to complete their school registration for the year.
August 20—First Day of School (Starts at 8:30 a.m.) The doors open at 8:15 a.m. The first class starts at 8:30 a.m.
August 23—Orientation Day (6 p.m.) For any parents and students who would like to meet with teachers and get to know the school better.
