New to DTD Families Must Start Here on Our Website to Apply!
This will take you to Facts, which is our student information system that handles our online application process.
*A non-refundable fee to Facts of $25 must be submitted with each new student application.*
Currently Enrolled DTD Students/Families have established their own link to Facts, where they
should go to proceed to re-enroll for 2026-27.
1. Tour the school, meet our staff and students.
2. Kindergarteners and all new students must have a physical exam within the past 6 months of August. We also need a copy of vaccination records. These documents may be sent from your doctor’s office. Our fax number is: 434-332-3458
3. Complete our online application and submit required documentation including a copy of your child’s live birth certificate.
4. Rising 5th through 9th grade students are required to write a handwritten, not typed, 1-4 paragraph essay, topic: “Why I want to attend Desmond T. Doss Christian Academy.” This essay should be photo scanned then emailed to [email protected]. This piece will be forwarded to your child’s teacher as an initial writing sample. This essay is required but will not influence admission.
5. Families of homeschool and transfer students will need to schedule a time for required academic screening. Admissions are not based on how well students do on this testing. This is only a screening that provides an initial glimpse of where your child is academically.
6. Request a copy of all records to be sent to us from all previous schools, including report cards, standardized testing, all behavior records, & SPED needs. If your child has an IEP/ISP/504 plan you need to let our principal or school secretary know prior to applying. DTD has a limit as to the number of special needs students we are able to serve. 7. Pay your registration fee(s) online.
8. If you are not paying tuition in full, you will need to set up an online payment plan during the Facts admissions process.
9. Our DTD Admissions Team will meet to evaluate your admissions documentation. You will be notified of admission by email or phone call ASAP.
