At Desmond T. Doss, we strive to promote healthy competition and to embody the highest ideals of sportmanship and respect in order to be a living testimony of God’s character. In addition, the lessons learned in the classroom, at home, and through church can be put into practice through athletics.
Because of the nature of competitive athletics, it is surrounded by positive pressure. Therefore, the athlete will be tested, and the true character made known. As a result, the opportunity for character growth is accentuated through competition. As Christians, we are commanded by Scripture to always do our best, and we are not to waste the talent God has given us by giving anything less than total commitment.
