On August 24, 2015, Desmond T. Doss Christian Academy opened its school year to the largest enrollment of the school’s 76-year history with a record enrollment of 104 students in the Kindergarten through 10th grades. This enrollment allowed us to have a new teacher join our ranks. Mr. Rick Cooper is our new teacher for the 5th and 6th grade class. Alumni teacher Mr. Billy Wright has moved up to be our teacher for the new 9th and 10th grade DTD class.
In addition to the 104 Desmond T. Doss Christian Academy students, we also have six students in our 11th and 12th grade connected school program, and we also welcomed an additional 18 children, who are in our Bashful Giraffe Early Learning Center Pre-K program, to our campus because God blessed us with multiple new classrooms with the addition of another modular building. That gives us a total of 128 students on our growing campus!
We praise God for this amazing hallmark year in our school’s history!
