Security – Desmond T. Doss Christian Academy

All employees, family members, friends, & students who volunteer on our campus must be in our security compliance using the following 3 checks. Please follow the procedures outlined below to get started:

1. The DSS/Dept of Social Services Child Abuse and Neglect Registry:

Required for all employees and volunteers at our school by VA state law. This link will take you to 4 pages that can be typed or printed out then filled in neatly with no mistakes or white-out. Be sure that your name exactly matches your legal name on your driver’s license. When you have completed these steps scan & send by email or bring the forms back to the principal or secretary of Desmond T. Doss Christian Academy because they must be mailed with an official school check for $12. We will take care of mailing this form for you. BECAUSE THIS CHECK CAN TAKE UP TO 8 WEEKS TO BE PROCESSED ONCE THE DSS RECEIVES THE FORM, PLEASE BE SURE TO TAKE CARE OF THIS COMPLIANCE REQIREMENT FIRST.

2. Sterling Child Abuse Course and Background Check Link:

After completing the course found at the link below, click to allow a background check to be completed. Once completed, Sterling is valid for 3 years. The North American Division of SDA requires this training and check for all teachers and volunteers who work with children in our schools and churches. 3. FBI Fingerprint Check by fieldprintvirginia.com

Use the QR Code below to “Additional Teacher Forms” then tap on “Fingerprinting” and choose the state of VA. This will take you to the steps and a link to make an appointment to be fingerprinted. Potomac Conference Fieldprint Code is: FPPotomacConfCorp This Fingerprint check is required to be completed only once.
