One of the most rewarding activities our kids can become involved in is our Adventurer and Pathfinder’s Clubs which are extensions of Children’s Ministries of our church. Adventurer’s Club is open to children from 1st grade through 4th. Later, kids graduate to Pathfinder’s when they are in 5th through 8th grades.
These clubs are very active! They meet twice a month to earn various honor badges, participate in fun activities with Christian friends, and most importantly they learn to trust and love the Lord with all their heart!
This past Saturday the Adventurer’s met on our campus to have an overnight camp out! After an afternoon of nature and fun it was campfire time with songs and a special worship service where Mr. Billy Wright spoke about “faith” and then shot some potatoes out of his homemade potato cannon!
After dark the kids played a few games of “sardines”…which is a form of hide and seek where the players pack in together like sardines when they find each other. Then it was off to sleep in the tents that were pitched near the fire pit.
